I didn't realize Faygo owned Jones! Learn something new every day.
Jones is a Michigan product? Hrm. Their HQ is in Seattle, WA. My husband stopped in over there when he was in WA for some Microsoft MVP stuff last year. Do they bottle it here? Either way, I'm always glad to support Michigan businesses.
Chicabee19, good luck with your photo! It usually takes them 6 months to a year to find my newly submitted images, so don't get discouraged if you don't hear from them for a while.
rebecca10782, I've never actually done that. The labels aren't the same ones you get when they select your photo for their label runs. If you order, it ends up saying "My Jones" on them and doesn't have the same label number. -- Did they add Red Apple to the My Jones flavors though? I'll have to check that out.
conny63malies, italian ice??
Making the front page of a local newspaper is cool! Congrats!
I couldn't see that link to that lady's label with her chicken, but is it the picture the same one that's on this page ? I see a neat looking chicken int he cluster of images along the left-hand side.
I had asked a local grocery store that carries Jones Soda if they planned on getting the new flavor (Red Apple). I mentioned it to two different clerks on two different occasions, then totally forgot about it. Today while I was in picking up kitty litter, one of the clerks saw me in the aisle and asked if I was the gal that had inquired about the Jones Sodas. I said yes. She informed me that they had my bottle! They got a small case of the Red Apple flavor and I managed to get 4 of my daughter's labels out of the lot. I also bought an extra bottle with a different label so we could taste it. Shockingly, this really does taste like a sweet red apple. It surprised me.
They used to only notify you by mail. You'd get a letter of congratulations and a handful of labels with your photo on them. Occasionally you can check their labels page online and sometimes they will have updated that with new labels before everyone has received their letters in the mail. Lately though, they seem to preempt their print runs by mailing the photographers and asking to verify or send another copy of your photographer and model release forms. I've discovered two of my future label photos in this fashion.
Then if you are chosen, you have to hunt down your own bottles. That annoys some people, but I find it fun. And the only ones I get over zealous about are the ones with my kiddos on 'em.
I don't buy soda much anymore either. Just on special occasions for the kids (or if my pictures are on them!), and only sodas that use pure cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Jones is a pure sugar cane soda.
