Mycoplasma or fungal infection any suggestions please!!

Hello there ,


HipH you are all doing well. I am too much tensed these days as I am losing my bits. Either to a bacterial infection or a fungal infection..

I have lost my rooster 15 says ago and now a Millie chick. Don't know what's going on with them.

Now currently they have watery eyes, some nasal discharge and sneezing. Heavy voice. Some sounds coming out either from crop ot chest area. Watery sfiatrhoea as well. On antibiotic now tylosin+ erythromycin powder. Previously we're on amoxicillin. But my question is when I give them antibiotic they start to have crop issue. Watery crop. Last chick also had a watery crop although I was giving him miconazole.

Now I wanted to know the symptoms for mycoplasma. And fungal infection . They are loosing weight and not interested in their fe.

My rooster have had multiple rounds of antibiotic. Along with antifungal. But at the end he sied of crop issue. Or might be because of fungal or bactabact infection.

This is a tough call. Without testing, all you can do is treat for both bacterial and fungal as you are doing.

That your chickens are dying in spite of treatment and the sick ones not improving, could point to a more serious fungal infection such as aspergillosis.

What I would suggest is to set up a vaporizer or mister with Oxine in the water directed at the chickens during the night while they roost. Oxine, Betadine, and other such disinfectants can treat both bacterial and fungal respiratory infections.

@bintekhan where are you located? Do you have anywere locally where you can get one or two chickens tested for a respiratory infection? In your past threads, you have been treating a lot of different possible problems with multiple medicines. Some diseases, especially the respiratory diseases can make carriers of the rest of the flock. It reslly helps to know if you have a virus, for which there is no treatment, ora bacterial illness that can be treated with the right antibiotic. Fungal infections can only be treated by removing the fungus, such as aspergillosis in mold. Sometimes multiple diseases can be present.

Ahh , well I am living in Islamabad , Pakistan. Yes previously I had issues related to intestines.

Now unfortunately dealing with bacterial or fungal infection related to respiratory system.

They are sneezing. Not very often but quite a lot while drinking or eating. Watery eyes along with nasal discharge. When I put them out for sun bath.

They have lost their appetite too. Can they all get fungal infection at once? While living in different cages or portions? Now one of my brahBr hen has a huge crop a bit solid . Crop skin looks dark pink while the rest is a bit lighter.

Those that I have lost had whowh droppings along with tiny green part in between with watery crops. They were eating but drinking lots ofowater within around 48 hours they sies.

The brown millMi chick that I have lost . He was fine but eventually developed a sour crop kind of a thing , and just sies . Although active and ftinkidrin the morning. Their poo pic too.

I have recently moved to our new house , and it seems to be a environmental issue to me too. I am too much depressed now , have not been able to sleep for three days . Vets are all canine experts.

They're all loosing weight breast bone is quite prominent. Seems bacterial but when I start antibiotic, their crops just start to have some issues on just day 2 of treatment... Now I have Nystatin along with fluconazole.
