Mysterious egg stealer???

I accidentally left a basket of 7 egg in my chicken yard and woke up to these tracks and 4 eggs missing. Any idea what animal these tracks belong to? All my chickens were fine and there wasn't any scratches on the coop or anything. I live in colorado if that helps. Thanks!!!

I don't know... however rats do take eggs. Be sure to take them in next time!

I would bet rat but wouldn't rule out possum. Hard to tell from the tracks I see.

Probably rats. If you have a game camera, put it up and you may get a picture of the critter.

Defiantly looks like a rat. Try putting out traps because rats will probably eat your chicken feed too if they are eating the eggs!

Rats can also kill chickens, at night while the birds are roosting! I hope your coop is rat proof too.

I couldn’t find rat tracks in snow but did find mouse tracks that look very

I would also say rat.
You will want to put out rat traps to get rid of them.
