He was really trying to bring me some Easter Eggers from that Mystery Box. Like he said, Easter Eggers are very popular but he would put some in my flock if he found any left. He brought 4 he thought "might be Easter Eggers" It seems one of those is a Faverolle and one is probably an Isa sex link. Here are the other 2. Did I get any Easter Eggers?

They might actually even be blue Ameraucana.. depending on which hatchery they came from.. All the features I can currently see in those 2 photos do match the standard of perfection.. otherwise yes, I would easily call them EE.. and such beauties! 🥰

Pics of comb and bottom of feet may help confirm or rule out breed considerations.

This! Either way you'll likely end up with either blue (Ameraucana or possibly EE) or green (EE) eggs. The bottom of their feet look like they might be yellow? If so, they're Easter Eggers. If white, probably Ameraucana.

Thinking about the possibility of them being Ameraucuanas is an exciting idea I hadn't even thought of! The hatchery does carry Ameraucanas so it is actually possible. They do have pea combs. The bottoms of their feet are light but, I think yellow. They are NOT interested in being caught right now and I don't want to get them too stirred up in this heat so I will have to get a better look at their feet when they are calmer. I doubt any of these have been caught or held much if at all. He did have this box of 300, another 300 new chicks plus over 300 layers of various breeds plus goats, pigs, sheep... Mine will have to learn to be pets. I have spent some time just sitting in their pen and most will come within a couple feet of me for a mealworm already. If I stand up or reach towards them they flip out. If I am outside of their pen, a couple of them (not these 2 yet) will stick their heads out to take a treat from my hand. Ameraucanas would have blue eggs 🤗 I have never had a chicken that laid blue eggs! Only brown eggs or white eggs from chickens and green eggs from ducks.

Thank you

Judging skin color is iffy when they are so young, so it may take a while. But if the skin on the underside of the feet is yellow, that confirms they are Easter eggers. Ameraucanas will help white to pinkish white coloring in that area.

Thank you Jed. They are growing so fast they look different every day now. I may not be very confident of their breed id's until the start laying! It really doesn't matter. They are cute and healthy and I am pretty sure all girls. My goal is fun pets that lay pretty eggs. 😁
