Mystery chick! Breed and sex ID?

Another week update! My kitten (yes, he's a kitten) doesn't give a cluck about there being a chicken in my living room! Chonk got a big kick out of their excursion out of the brooder.

Looks like it's starting to get a bit of color in the comb. I vote male. Also late to the party but I also think Delaware :)

I’m thinking cockerel now

Well, I have raised Delawares for over 15 years, and I just had to remove a pullet that I thought was a cockerel from the boy pen. Delaware pullets can be foolers! Their combs and wattles can develop and get red pretty early. (FYI for those who don't know, combs and wattles get red much faster outdoors than in the barn or brooder.)

If he is a roo, Delaware roos tend to be more mellow toward people than most roos.

Love his name! You said that is was a shame because he is the nicest out of the bunch, can you not keep cockrells in your area?

I agree, Delaware! Although friendliness isn't always the best sign of pullet  There are many exceptions though, just a general trend many have seen!
It’s a Deleware. Cockerels usually seem quite friendly until their hormones kick in. Some don’t change much, but others turn the devil.
