Mystery Chick Mistake :)

I'm feeling a little silly. The chick I thought was my mystery chick has been identified as one of two Ameraurcanas. They have very different coloring, but both have muffs and beards. The pictures below (and the photo from McMurray Hatchery) are of the mystery chick which I believe is a Dorking. I can't believe I hadn't noticed the 5 toes! Am I correct in my identification?
How does your dorking chick look now?

When Dorking chicks are hatchlings, the pullets have a more pronounced line through the eye, and the chipmunk stripe down their back is unbroken. Also, the stripe will be more V shaped on the head with a pullet and less defined on a cockerel. It's hard to tell on yours, since it's grown a bit. Do you have pictures of it when it was really young?

I'll have to go back and look. I have a bunch of photos still on my phone.

In my experience Faverolles or Dominiques.
Both have really good points, Faverolles are generally very gentle and personable and handle winter like a charm.
Dominiques are smart and are expert at making the most out of what they're offered and have really distinct personalities.
Both breeds have been excellent layers, but the Faverolles are a more laid back bird slower and much better if you have to catch them or if you have kids or grandkids that might like to pet them.:)
Question: What are the best natured laying hens and lay abundantly?
