I'm so excited and can't wait for the photo album that ya'll have been working on. In the meantime, I'm hoping someone can tell me if we are looking at White Leghorns or Lunch aka a broiler.

A friend hatched some eggs for her daycare kids and we are the proud adoptive parents. She doesn't know the breed and I'm wondering what direction I need to take these almost 4 week old chicks.

This chicken stuff is so much fun!

My Cornish X was bigger than that at 4 weeks, I think...here's a pic for comparison (she wasn't free fed). Although it's zoomed in, I think she's bigger lol...so you prob have Leghorns. Just a newb opinion.

I originally was leaning toward Leghorn, but another friend and I are in this chicken endevour together and she's had them this last week, telling me how "huge" they were...so then was thinking, awesome. Eaters! They just don't seem to be thick enough through the breast to be a broiler...The pictures are at 4 weeks.

Time to rethink the game plan.

This is the white rock beside a barred rock of the same age. I got them as Day olds together. As you can see, she is much bigger than the barred. So i vote white rock
