Chirping
I hatched chicks in my 2nd grade classroom. Got the eggs from a pet store in Orange County, and the parent picking them up didn't think to ask the breed!!! All the yellow chicks (some with a few black bits of feathers or specs of black down) were from large brown eggs. The different one was from a light beige egg that was a bit smaller. They are marked on their heads with bright colors to help us identify them when weighing them to track their growth. My students would LOVE to know what we have, and if you have any gender guesses!!! They are just over 2 weeks old, and did feathered out pretty quickly - they had wing feathers starting within just days of hatching. Before this I've only hatched bantams, so I'm at a loss!! There are seven chicks (pink, green, blue, purple, black and an unmarked yellow and unmarked odd-ball!). THANK YOU!
