According to the web site below there is a official US Navy document that states the US Navy was conducting live fire testing of missiles off the coast of California.

I want a link to the pictures, first. I didn't see any links in the article I read, and that thing looks like a missile. Passenger liners do NOT leave a trail like that, nor does any military jet I've seen. And yes, I HAVE seen more than a few different military jets.

What's a 'conspiracy theory'? One we don't like? All suggestions are theories at the moment and even those who should know the truth won't commit themselves. You might say that the official suggestion that the trail was from a commercial jet is a conspiracy theory - several organisations suggesting the same unproven explanation.

My own conspiracy theory is that it looks nothing like the path of a jet liner.

I haven't seen anything referencing the specific airline that caused the trail, and I could have sworn that I read that there were no aircraft in the area at the time.

Of course if you want to believe it was a launched missile then you're certainly not going to be convinced otherwise. Probably is was shot off by the second Dallas gunman or the same guys that mined the structure of the Twin Towers or maybe the same people that were working for FDR on the attack at Pearl Harbor.
