Nail Polish Designs!!

Whenever I paint my nails(which is rarely), I never paint them just one color. I do stripes, spots, rainbow, or if I have lots of time, a scene on every nail. It helps that I have every color of nail polish imaginable. And I have very steady hands. I wish I had pictures, but people at school are amazed because of how real the pictures look.

Don't have much problem growing my nails out... eventually one will break and so I'll chop them back down. Don't pay too much attention really. I've had the fake ones put on before but they just shredded my nails. Donno if it was the buffing or the chemicals or both but until all of the exposed nail had grown out and been cut my nails were a brittle mess. Lesson learned there.

My SIL keeps hers done all the time, in the french manicure style. My sis keeps her done, toes as well but she goes for some of the most obnoxious colors.... bleh... I'm a wee bit biased though... I think the fact she's paying for manicures and pedicures while her kids live in poverty, get and pass around lice, etc etc is just wrong... throw in that she's using Social Security that DH (and everyone else I know) pays into... all the while saying she's moving up. Not depending on family. etc.

OOOkkay time to get out before the rant gets full blown... *blush*

I love a nice set of nails!

just wish I had them! Money, too tough on them, too rough of a lifestyle, I can't see paying to do them when I am only going to sink them in chicken poo!





But, this reminds me of the good old (and I do mean old) days when I was in high school and college, the fad was polished nails with a GOLD overlay on one or more, never all of them.
Why? I don't know! We had big shoulders, skinny jeans and big hair and I had one gold pinky nail!

I think I might actually still have it in the bottom of a jewelry box somewhere!

I do my own (and I'm due for a fill in but just have not done it yet) and I don't alway have them done, just when I get to chewing them so bad, I need to make myself stop and this is how I do it. the nicer they look, the less likely I am to chew them. the tip to keep them from chipping is a really good clear topcoat, I use nail lacquer
I like a dark color with flash. usually it's fuschia pink with a stripe of white and then some silver dazzle. I also like dark blue with the same white /silver combo

I do my toes occasionally but never my finger nails. I feel like my fingers are heavy when I wear nailpolish.

My toes don't bother me. Its probably all in my head but I don't like the feel of polish on my fingernails.

I painted my toenails all zebra back in June. I didn't do any base coats or top coats and it is still there. I tried taking it off, but it won't chip away. I want it to be gone.

I love to paint my nails in special designs!

I don't paint my fingers, because they just chip within an hour of wearing the polish due to my constantly working hands. I do, however, paint my toenails quite often. I almost can't leave the house without nailpolish of some sort on them, because they are not the prettiest nails. I'll show you some pics of one of my many designs!

Colors used here: Glittery dark ruby red background, bright candy apple red stripe, bordered with a black line on the bottom and a shimmery silver on the top of the stripe.

usually just do my toes black. i'm not talented. but i get my nails done often. when i have extra money i usually get zebra tips. i found this new nail salon that does really cool stuff!!! like argyle. i want to do that sometime.. when i have money to spend on that kinda stuff.
