I impulsively bought 3 straight run Naked Neck chicks this spring. They are 6 weeks old now and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what sex they are?

Not 100% sure but they look like pullets to me.

Thanks for the opinions! That would be odd out of a straight run bin but I guess it's possible. I'm curious how they'll do in the heat of summer compared to my other hens. And what size they end up
My NNs are highly tolerant of the heat compared to my other breeds. I hose down a section of the ground with cold water for them and they play happily in it, rarely even panting while it's over 90 degrees. By comparison I've had to hose down my Bielefelders, White Rocks, and Barred Rocks to keep them cooler. (My Australorps also don't seem much effected by the heat, not my little Silkies.) I give all of my birds lots of shade and cold water to drink, sometimes even adding ice to their drinking water. I think you'll be very pleased with their heat and cold tolerance.
Thanks for the info. That is what I'm hoping for.
These are supposed to lay decent and be a bird you can eat too? I may keep back a few of a local "Label Rouge" type chicken and try crossing them. Or not, not sure it's worth the hassle as long as i can just buy the local meat chicks to raise. I didn't like raising the Cornish X at all but did like the local meat bird chicks.
