Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Haha! I don't even have to ask if you have a rocker on the porch with a trusty old shotgun always within reach, right?

Well..actually, it's a Marlin .444 lever action rifle. Doesn't have enormous range but has the knock-down power to put a full grown Kodiak Brown to the ground for the terminal count...at about 50 to 70 yards. Light and easily handled.

Makes me wish we had a front porch.

I'm already selling eggs for $4/dozen. My peeps at work only pay $3.50, but I'm going to have to go up 50 cents on both. Grocery store prices have gone up about that much already.

LOL....I've got a UTS-15. Yeah...it's double barrel and holds 15 shells.

What I really wanted was an AA12, but I don't think they're entirely legal.

Having dirt-balls over run your home isn't strictly legal either so you aught to have what makes you feel safest. From my point of view, the UTS-15 would make 8 or 10 run-of-the-mill home invaders wish they had chosen a different property.

If you need it, use it.......Don't think twice. Get plenty of practice and I suggest double buck as opposed to slugs.

Gotta' keep those valuable colored egg layers safe from any intrusion!!!

I need some opinions: A while back I posted this photo of my molting frizzled NN. Well, that was back in Feb. and she still looks like this! She is laying eggs every other day, although I don't think they are fertile. (Guess the roos don't find her attractive anymore!) Will she not ever get her feathers back? Has this happened to any of your chickens?

Oh I don't hesitate. I actually have a gun within three feet of me even at home at all times, and I'm a better shot than my husband. My personal obsessions include guns, ammo, chickens, and power tools. I've tried adding money to that list, but the government keeps taking it from me.

I'm also pretty good with my husband's crossbow, but after shooting it only twice and getting a bulls-eye both times he sort of took it away from me while grumbling something about making him look bad.

Wow, you live in a very scary neighborhood... ;)

I've mostly handled the .22s maybe not too impressive but am real good at hitting things with them..

LOL I think it is too funny how so many men are sensitive about being out performed by someone else.. especially those of a certain gender...

I can do REAL good with a .22 but could not hit a moose with a crossbow. Uh, maybe that is a good thing, guessing moose don't take kindly to that kind of thing.. so maybe you can do that for me instead! ;)

btw I had to look up your gun, just the looks of that is scary enough!
