Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Hi! Here are two blue green-egger girls:

(at least, they *should* be green-eggers but they haven't started laying yet).

I would LOVE to have some of THOSE..... do you know if it's a project or an accidental outcome?

I do not know, sorry. I do know she is very chatty, and the sole surviver of a bad preditor attack. I also believe artsyrobin is looking or has found her a gentleman friend.

dipsy do you have any NN/EE in bantam size ? That will be my first project. But the bantam Ameraucanas and NNs are only four months olds and of mixed colors. It is hard to find Bantams in the middle of the desert. Most folks want large eggs and do not want bantams due to the heavy predator problems.

klf73 how about asking Artsyrobin the question about her beautiful hen ?

Hi! That'll be a great project! What colors do you have to work with? I started with buff NN's and crossed to blues and blacks --- still have *off-colors* popping out once in a while.
This little splash NN girl :

lays a green egg.
There is a little black girl just like her that lays a green egg as well.
I've got a pen of small blue and splash frizzle Naked Neck girls that lay more blue-ish eggs. They are a couple of generations further crossed back to Ameraucana and I had hoped size would have been closer to Ameraucana LF, but they are still small birds (but then again, my Ameraucana are not huge).
Good luck!
