Especially with that dark skin I'm thinking Heisenberg is the daddy. Plus, he was breeding Cocoa Puffs pretty heavily prior to and during the egg collection. Too cute!!!!

Still keeping my fingers crossed that you have a fantastic hatch!

Oh...and so far I've collected 2 Bielefelder eggs and 2 frizzled EE eggs for you. We're getting really close!

You know, I just realized something....I've never hatched a Heisenberg/Cocoa Puffs chick. Now I'm even more curious to see how this little one turns out, especially since CP has the barring gene.

that chick kinda looks it might have fibro.. is that possible?

If CP is the mom, that chick probably is a pullet. Barring likes to make skin lighter.

None of my NNs are fibro, but I've noticed in the past that Heisenberg's chicks always show darker skin at hatch.

Fibromelanotic- black skin like on a silkie, cemani. the updated pic doesn't look like it's present though..

btw it's a sex linked cross- if you see a white spot on top of head it's a cockerel..

mind, the blue color can really dilute any signs of barring. cute chick btw.

Was trying to remember if any of yours were.. that chick was pretty dark skinned at hatch for sure. Looks more normal by the updated pic though.
