Woohoo! The babies are hatching!!!!

Is there a better way to spend a gray, rainy day than watching eggs hatch?

I had honestly convinced myself that I'd screwed up something with this hatch and expected that none of the eggs would hatch, but thankfully they're proving me wrong so far. I do think I have at least one DOA though. BUT.....here's the first adorable baby! (Proud Papa is Pepper, and Mom is Gypsy.)

I'm setting now first to get these chicks a bit along before the 25 S&G NNs arrive, and also so that I can take another crack at Tank x GNH babies early this season if anything goes wrong with this hatch.

(I'm also throwing in 6 lavender ameraucana x blue/black copper marans eggs because, well... Why not?

I'm setting now first to get these chicks a bit along before the 25 S&G NNs arrive, and also so that I can take another crack at Tank x GNH babies early this season if anything goes wrong with this hatch.

(I'm also throwing in 6 lavender ameraucana x blue/black copper marans eggs because, well... Why not?

)

Yup!!! They hatch February 22, should arrive Feb. 23 or 24.
