Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Is anyone anticipating having some hatching eggs available for delivery to the southeast around March 10? Maybe? I think that's when I want to set my next batch of eggs so I'll be looking for anywhere from 6-12 eggs. I'd prefer dark birds, or the calico/mottled, but beggars can't be choosy ;) Just putting out feelers. I found someone locally that has a flock of turken, but I'm not feeling confident that she'll get back with me on when she'll be available for me to come pick them up. I'm looking for backup options, just in case. Thanks you guys!

For those who've already seen this on the Breeding for Production thread I apologize for the redundancy. Also, warning....I'll be showing innards.

I butchered a couple of chickens yesterday, one of which was NN/WR rooster, Simon. He was a beautiful and very big boy, but feeling his size, weight and shape in no way prepared me for what I found during butchering.

Here he is in his full glory while still pretty young:

Well, he processed out at a very respectable 5.2 lbs at just shy of a year old, but the amount of fat I found on and in him stunned me and actually made processing him very challenging. I removed two huge chunks of fat as big as the palm of my hand from just behind his thighs, and found that all of his innards were completely surrounded with fat. His liver was also tinted yellow, obviously also very fatty.

He's been living in an 8' x 10' x 6' cage with a roost for a few months, so his exercise has been limited, but I never expected to see that much fat. So...is it a matter of over-feeding? Seasonal fat accumulation? Genetic mixture? I like nice big birds and I'm really looking forward to making Schmaltz and Gribenes for the first time, but I don't think I want this to be a regular issue with my birds.

I LOVE this one!!!!

Love the little naked Parrot - Rhea is adorable but her momma better keep on an eye on that Yorkie. It gave her a sideways glance that wasn't loving. Now I have yet another thing to worry about.

Apologies for the duplication for those of you on the Breeding for Production thread.

OK, I was delayed in posting this but here it is. 4 week weights and photos of the NN x GNH chicks. I'm pretty sure now that I have 3 pullets - one smaller than the others, but all three segregating early form the boys by weights (as I have seen with my NNs).

First the chart. The orange are boys, purple are girls, and the growth curve of their NN father (Tank) is in blue for reference (sort of buried in the middle). Sorry there's so much overlap, but they'll spread out more as they get older. (I wish I could figure out how to make bigger and less pixelated...)

For reference, here is Tank's growth compared to the rest of his hatchery cohort at 4 weeks:
