Naked Neck/Turken Thread

this one looks like girl to me. single comb and no wattles. or maybe the pic has been taken from the wrong angle so I cannot see it.

That would be awesome, actually. This is one of two chicks that hatched with a "red" head and the breeder let me know that those ones tend to boys per her experience. I tried getting more pics tonight, but the little tot was too busy being a young chicken with the rest of the herd lol.

Keeper

I'm finally starting to get on board with this being a girl. The comb and wattles seem to be staying put while the others are growing.

I have two white boys, one with some black in his tail.

This guy has some neat coloring on him. I don't think I'll be keeping him though.

I love this little man!

And this guy, he decided to hop out of the pen yesterday. I was processing the older cockerels and came back to the coop for the next boy and this kid was just pacing his pen, wanting back in lol. Poor guy. Good thing is no one killed him, so that's positive. Clearly, he got told!

Trinity wants babies now. (Of course, it's only when I already have too many chicks for the year and the temperature is starting to get dangerous...

it is not too hot here but I had to assist a few hatching eggs as the membrane dried out. I didn't expect that even the eggs under broodies might need help. I stayed awake till 1 am in order to assist the 2 little stinkers. I have 5 araucanas and 6 bcm - 1 week old and 5 bcm just hatched. my 2 black NNs (transylvanian) should arrive on friday
