Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I plan to set some leghorn eggs covered by my turken roo .Saturday... I hope I get some more little necked necks!

Those should lay eggs good, and be a smaller size than most of them are going for as far as meat birds.

Yeah that is the hope. I plan to rearrange and hatch some crossed with blue/green egg layers for some more fun! I have one turken now that lays a greenish egg.

Combo? I think my roo was a little rough. But they are still laying..... even naked. Some of these poor girls are down to wing feathers

Some of mine are pretty darn bad right now. I've got a few of them penned off from the roos so they can recover. This girl is going for FULL recovery, though, all at once....

Ooohh! Slow feathering cockerel! He's gonna be neat looking when he grows up. And yes, those legs are a light blue. They may get darker as he gets older. <3
