Naked Neck/Turken Thread

i know i cant keep all ,i need to have 2 roo , i have one roo,the father is a turken the mother is polish, the roos is just bigger the mother but he is nn,and the other roo that im going to keep is turken ,maybe barred

yep sex doesn't matter. NN roo, NN hen, it's all good.. Even if it's a mutt with a NN, gonna have NN babies anyways!


It's so easy to make NN anything, especially if one wants a particular breed but with naked neck.. for most of them, simply do one time cross with a NN then repeat the 'best' NN bird each generation(HAS to be at least one naked neck parent) back to a pure bred or color of your fancy until you're happy with the results.

We hatched our best Turken chick from a Turken hen, and a fully-feathered bantam rooster. She has a pretty face, feathers on her crop area (is that called a bow-tie?), and a nice temperament.

Nitrostreak - my turken did the same thing. The only one that flew and still flies. The rest don't attempt anything even close.

What's the percentage of chicks that will be barred with a barred rooster? I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep my barred cockerel. Also, is my barred cockerel a blue barred while his father Lil' Kev is a lavender barred?
