Thanks for everyone's wishes for my little chick but he did not pull through this and was gone this morning. He sure was a fighter and did try! He was such a sweet little thing too.

NTF, I'm sorry you lost the little guy. Some times it's kinder to lose them than have them possibly live a poor quality life due to physical issues.

Ok, I'm NO expert, but I'd say girl. I don't see any pointy saddle feathers nor any shiny feathers on it's back. Legs don't look thick and small comb.
You know. . . I have a 50-50 chance of getting it right don't you?

I'm a horrible guesser from pics, but I'd guess girl too. She has a 'girly face'.

So sorry to hear about your little fighter. It (and you) tried, but sometimes it isn't meant to be.

I've got to get a new pic of the dwarf-ish chick. It's growing, but the Silkies and the bantam NN's have way outgrown it. It's vigorous and fiesty --- just teeny-tiny.
