Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Definitely girl.

My little cockerels are only 4 weeks old and already have the telltale red faces a combs are MUCH bigger.

She is a lovely little pullet.

Just heard a furious egg song coming from the chicken coop......and found my Blue Brahma boy standing over Blackchops a huge (and ugly) black NN cross 23 week old pullet who had her rear firmly implanted in a nest box..... I think she's about to lay....

Thanks guys. At this point I'm not really sure which one I want it to be. If its a girl we have to eat one of the other roosters and borrow some chickens for over the winter. If its another rooster I don't need to make any changes before spring.
Its name is John Cock Jr, so it would make sense that its a girl.

I just think its funny that when I post on the breed or gender board every single person is insistent that its a boy. And here everyone says girl.

Well compared to my other 2 roosters, this one is completely opposite. So unless they're just that different from being a NN, its a girl.

* I don't understand this part?

I only have 2 roosters and the turken baby. So if it is indeed a girl, I can't put it with 2 roosters. And since we started this whole project for eggs and only have boys, it kinda defeats the purpose of building an additional coop, etc. And I'm thinking I can't even put it with one lone rooster. So my friend is going to let me borrow a few hens for over the winter (if NN is a girl) so I can at least keep the one rooster.
I have a possible home for one of them, but she's being kinda iffy and maybe changing her mind. But I figure before I give it to somebody else to eat I may as well just eat it ourselves.

DDD- that baby is sooooo precious. So are all of them of course.

Here's the little dwarf-ish chicken-child.

The other chicks just walk all over it and I need to move it before it gets squashed.

Lisa, Is the little one the same age as the one standing beside it? He is awfully cute though! I hope all goes well for the little one !!! The chick in the last pic is very pretty!!!

I know, Sunshine, it would have died in the shell --- except I took it out. It pipped just fine but was too small to pip all the way around. When I moved chicks from hatcher to brooder, it was hollering up a storm and I couldn't just leave it.

Same age as the other chicks in pics. That's a Silkie standing behind it in the second pic and in the last pic, you can see the other chicks towering over it.
