Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I wasn't sure if I could keep just a pair together, I thought it had to be at least 2 females for 1 male.
They're only 1 month apart, but still quite a size difference. The roosters will be 16 weeks Oct 1 and NN will be 12 Oct 4.

I wish we were closer. I have thought about stopping by next time we drive by on our way to FL. But even then isn't the right time for chicks up here yet.

Good luck with the little one. Its so adorable and precious.

Well, there are dwarf people, dwarf horses, dwarf...well, you get it. Why not a dwarf chicken? Has it never been documented?
Not being sarcastic, just wondering.

Spontaneous bantam?(Assuming they are not already bantams)

I keep getting spontaneous giants...so, why not?

PG all of your birds are precocious. Huge with what sounds like powerful sex drives. Even if you had a bantam, I wonder if you would understand the bird.

Flower, you trying to say THIS little baby is big?

He seems to be nearly through his adolescence now and is turning into a very nice rooster. His constant companion is an oversized and VERY UGLY pullet called Blackchops who is actually bigger than him at 22-23 weeks and looked like she was trying to lay today. their babies will be hideous.

I will be hatching their offspring next Spring all being well.....

Lisa how many original frizzle birds did you have in your flock. If there was only one, the frizzle gene is very dominate since you have quite a few frizzle in your hatches.

spectacular. I am serious. When I have more space I want some bigger birds also. Dipsy likes larger birds also which is why the hugh Jersey Giant is in her mix. With you lush verdant landscape and temperate climate, Why wouldn't you have biggies ? BTW here is my request for the girlfriend's picture.

I'll take a pic. of the monstrous Blackchops tomorrow....if the camera can cope. She is a black NN crossed with....well maybe it is a turkey considering her size. Currently she is tucked up in bed near to her would-be consort....the perch is sagging!
