Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I love the picture too! It is so sweet to see the chick under mom's wing :)

Guess what!!! Boo Boo's neck is all clear!!!!!!!!! I guess it was my fault and if I had initially left the spot on her neck alone, I guess it would have cleared on it's own! Maybe she was allergic to the antibiotic cream!!! No wonder every time I smeared more on, she got more bumps!

Here is hoping it stays away!!!

KKH, love your hen! Is she from her namesake?

Thanks :) Yes, she is one of Dipsy's birds. I bought her and two others from a fellow BYC'er who hatched out a batch. They are all so different
and comical. No regular name would do . . .she just looked like a Dipsy Doodle Doo!

She's a cute girl! Are the chicks 'hers' or from other hens?

The two chicks whose pics I posted earlier are from her:

The roo is a blue barred cockerel. I'm curious what color genes SHE carries. Her chicks look like one
could be barred but I'm not sure of the other. She has one more egg to hatch out but it's not her egg. That one belongs to the splash frizzle, also from your stock.

I'm so glad to hearing that it's healing! :celebrate AWESOME!!

Question: My last little NN chick just hatched out and it's a beauty!! It's two days after the other two. When I pull it out from under mama she acted like she didn't know what it was and pecked at it. I stuck it back under her and she appears to be okay with it. Do I need to worry about it's safety?

It's got a perfectly clean neck and appears to be blue. I can't tell you how exciting this has been for us!! They're all so beautiful!

My guys and girls had a photo shoot today so I thought I would post some pictures!

Gretchen & her Boyfriend Lenny the salmon Favorelle. They take the kids for long walks, even over to the neighbors!

My original Turken Girls

This is Jeff. He hangs out with the EE mix boy all the time so I have been calling them Mutt & Jeff.

Love "Mutt & Jeff", very cute names :) Is that Gretchen also in the bottom of this photo? I'd love to see a picture of her from the front. I'd like to try to make some crested NN's...you've got me intrigued now! Cute babies and a great variety of colors in your flock!
Thanks for sharing :clap

No that is Phyllis a salmon fav/silkie mix.

Here is an older picture of Gretchen and her sister Penny. They both have some crests going on! Penny is a dainty girl and Gretchen is heavier. Penny is a poser just like her mom was! ;)

Penny

Gretchen also has a beard!
