Naked Neck/Turken Thread

It's amazing too with so much skin showing I have been reading of alot of birds having frost bite this winter, Thankfully Ed's is healing up still has some pretty thick scabs but I don't think he's going to lose any of his wattles now, he did lose a spike on his comb though. And some of my Muscovys have some frost bite on their Knobs.

On their ..............?????

That is so weird you should mention Muscovy knobs! I thought one of my older guys had a touch of frostbite. It turned a funny yellow/brown color for a couple of days, but it looks normal now.
(at least I think... note to self: check knobs ; )

Glad Ed is going to be OK.

what I was thinking too-  correct colors, including legs and looks like a nice meaty breast- they are supposed to be a dual purpose breed...  even bantams should be "meaty" I think?

would need a side view though.

I know he's bantam but I might consider paying for shipment, plus time and 'handling' fees. Way too far to drive. I know nothing of showing either...just a hunch.

Great pics. He's a handsome roo. He has the tail bone/parson's nose? hard lump where the tail ought be. True tailless don't have that, just an abrupt end to the spine.

BTW is your pullet solid buff? Especially no other color on tail? That's rather unusual... solid buff all over is very hard to achieve.

yep see it's swelled up and looks like it's going to pop.

that's not helping hellbender lol

Huh,...Solid buff hens? I have several hens and pullets by accident but NO cocks/cockerels.

I'm trying to make amends Miss Lydia...I still have the sense of humor I had when I was 16 years old. Time has ravaged my mature body but the mind has been in arrested development for decades.
