Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Well, in the mean time I have over 60 eggs from my project BLRNN I have a rooster that looks to be dark but not as dark as I would like him to be, my hens are all splash
So I'm hoping to get most of them blue shade of the color but it is a project and I'm just hoping for the best

I know I'm going to get some full feather and some naked 50\50

I will post pics as soon as they ate born

On another note, I will be showing my black cockerel this weekend at a local show , ill post pics of that too
Good luck, looking forward to some pics.

What color will I get from this pair?Dun/Chocolate polish X splash naked neck.Thought it would be neat to add the dun gene to the crested naked neck project. Will have my first frizzle polish x naked neck chicks hatching the first of march. And have a broody on 11 eggs from this project. When I candled the eggs 99 percent fertility, only had 2 not fertile out of 30 plus. Then I have chicks from Nava coming around the first part of march

Chocolate I love so much that color. and in Polish it look fantastic...

a Chocolate Dun(I^D/i+ bl+/bl+) bird mated to a Splash bird(i+/i+ Bl/Bl) will yield 50% Platinum/Mauve colored birds google searc http://www.google.com.ni/search?q=P...JJSq8ASsu4Fw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=625

and 50% Blue Colored birds.. 50% of ALL chicks(Mauve and blues) will be naked neck..

how would your Mauve/Platinum Blue birds look like? I belive your birds carry the lacing gene and the Melanotic genes(normal for black birds, but not all of them carry it)

the Body of the bird will be very light shade of blue with a very light tint of chocolate mixed together. BUT the lacing of the bird will be Chocolate, Why? because Blue cant dilute Melanotic and Pg(pattern gene) on a Extended black birds(just like yours)

Mauve(Choc with Blue)

I begg of you.. Post pic of the chicks as they progress(from hatch to adults) so we can all Learn from this Awesome color

Soooo cute! I am glad to see your chick photos because I was wondering if mine were suppose to get those red areas around the jaws. Is that a boy thing? Is that a sure way to know if boy or girl?
