Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Thanks for the welcome Kev. My birds are all on the large side...hens 8.5 to 9 pounds and the cocks are heavier.

I have never been much of a photographer but I will make an effort to get some pics fairly soon. I live in West Virginia

and have the benefit of having my farm being on a dead-end gravel road. in fact, the road ends at my back door so no one

usually shows up here uninvited.

I have never shipped eggs to anyone but will gladly do so for shipping cost or could even send you a cockerel...for shipping

costs.

When I get the pics up we can consider it...

Thank you too Kassaundra!

Hellbender,
Where are you located? By your screen name I would guess Tennessee or Kentucky. Welcome and I look forward to seeing pics of your NN.

You're close Sharkman. Wild Wonderful West Virginia.

I've been lurking on this thread for sometime and have read nearly every post

from day one. I have learned a great deal from Kev and others. I have enough

experience to know that one is never too old nor too well versed in any subject

that they can not learn something new, just about every day.

B..b..bantam silver laced turkens? Let me just mop up the drool on the floor here and..

Haha great pic and caption! I'd offer eggs but.... no rooster. My goal was LF but of course Murphy said all the laced ones end up bantam lol.... Culled the rooster when the silver sussex arrived with the intent of starting it over again but seems the SS might have wrong genes, aggh!

I believe right down to my toenails, he who pays the feed bill gets to decide what they want to do w/ their chickens. There is room for all types of chicken keepers

Exactly.

OO, nice weights. That's a dream location. When I moved here, the house was second to last on the road. The road got extended and now there are whole blocks uproad... bah, not so great.

:drool Gorgeous birds, Kev! There could be a real market for those if you ever tried it again. Now why did I get rid of my sebrites..:barnie

Southern OH here, Ron. Only about an hour from Point Pleasant and Huntington. Of course, WV is a big place. :)

Not really a big place, ShayBaby, unless you were to flatten it out.  It would then be bigger than Texas..lol

I live in the central highlands...Randolph county.

True that! Pretty as they are, I've never enjoyed driving through those mountains.. :p

i have to say this is a super friendly  group - i lurk alot  but there is never any drama - and all levels of knowledge are welcomed - very nice -

Hi-dy, neighbor! That makes this and the OH thread my favorites on BYC. :D Some of the other breed threads..yeesh..I don't envy those folks, being that grumpy all the time..
