Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I can't tell much from that pic either. Do you have a young cockerel after them? Once in a while, when they are just getting started, the young boys will grab low and often, causing sores that result in nasty looking bumps but it really doesn't last long and the swelling goes down in about 2 weeks.

As mentioned, I've never seen the pox....hope it's the same problem as mine, which is no problem at all.

Good luck!
maybe its from them. i have seen one or two of them trying to do that.

I'm in SW FL. I'm looking to buy local rather than having them shipped.
I'm hoping to find some LF NN pullets of an age that can go directly in the pen/coop.
I had several that were lost to a predator attack. Only one left, but she is the sweetest of all my chickens.
Any LF Frizzle pullets of any variety would make me ecstatic.
I am rebuilding my flock to include chickens that lay eggs and are pretty or unusual. I am not interested in showing.
Please PM me if you have anything available locally.
I never thought I would love NN chickens. One never knows!

Nava sells chicks I don't know about pullets, she is in FL but I have no clue what part. She has very nice NNs

Generation War is now released in America theaters in limited locations! Sadly, haven't seen any openings in my state.. I was lucky and have seen the whole mini-series on youtube just a few days before it was removed by youtube. The movie is 270 minutes long and if it's in a theater near you I would highly watch it.

I am about to make an application to Prime Inc Trucking to get my CDL, paid training, but I hate the fact I need to leave my chickens behind.. My dad feeds them in the morning, I tried to train my older sister but she isn't as smart in the chicken world as I am, she learned alot from me though. In the next 6-12 months ahead big changes are ahead, hope my sister will learn the ropes from me..

It's tough getting any number of birds taken care of like you would do it, unless they work with you on a regular basis.

So glad I'll soon have a seasoned helper back. He could use the Bobcat when he was 12 years old and things haven't changed.

I agree with them

that looks like a young cockerels work.

does not look like the pox at all to me.

I see that all the time when I have young cockerels running after the girls especially if they are in a hurry, cause the main roo is coming to rescue his girl

Is that one of your NNs??
Nah, that's a Turkey...a burned one at that.

I was just messin' with Vamvakas' recommendation of the movie...

EDIT: If I could produce NNs with that kind of breast meat, I'd be written up in all the poultry magazines and I'd have to hire uniformed guards to protect them.

The capons look pretty close but much smaller.

I do like how the turkey was cooked though, not trying to troll but I prefer a nice dark like that. Your turkey is cooked well just like my movie recommendation.

Edit: You should put some butter on the turkey to add flavor and keep it from getting dry
