I love this. Gives me inspiration that my Naked Lady will survive! She's not quite as naked as Rudy. How are your winters? And how does Rudy do? I'm in KY and worried about Naked Lady and this upcoming winter.

I am from Oklahoma. This will be Rudy's first winter, there is no way he could survive outside w/o protection. I am hoping the clothing I am making will make it possible. Also I moved him from the big coop (had to b/c he got attacked by the main roo and cannot defend himself) to a smaller less open coop. My husband is going to wire it w/ a heat light and thermostat.

He has never been coddled or treated different then the other chickens (except the first 2 weeks when he was so weak from a hard hatch) so he doesn't like it when he has to come inside so I am hoping to avoid that at almost all costs.

Turk, if you contact Brinsea on their facebook page, they usually have scratch and dent models that they dont advertise and you can get a great deal on one. Mine is a scratch/dent and I have yet to see where it is either scratched or dented but it carries the same warrantees as new and I saved $200. The admin on their facebook page is actually the same person who answers phone calls from their main website. Very helpful and you can order it right over the phone or via pm on facebook. They do cost a little more but the quality and great service has me a lifelong customer.
