Naked Neck/Turken Thread

my little pekin got broody. I gave her 5 eggs: 1 NN white hen/speckled sussex roo, 1 Nn black hen/ SS roo and 3 aloha looking egg laying hybrid/SS roo. so

That's great! I'll be waiting to see how they turn out! Aloha's have the lighter colored leg's, preferably yellow. Rooster's have the higher held tail's. I'm bringing some buff into them to lighten up the red color.

Apparently even with bad feet, Atlas could woo the ladies

I have 4 eggs from before he started losing the dead toes and all 4 are developing. I guess looks aren't everything

Also have some NN/EE mixes coming at the end of May from great falls. I'm ready for the cat whiskers

Dropped an NN egg, hoping it stays okay. My mom was turning it and it slipped so it's now got a little indent covered mostly in wax. It was doing good a few hours after it happened yesterday, won't be able to candle it today for another 3 hours

Atlas lost almost all his toes and I figured out why I could never find the ones that fell of when I saw all the bloody beaks on everyone this morning
