OMgosh! My babies in the bator are showing signs of hatching! Two of 15 have pipped so far... keep fingers crossed for me please! My first time ever hatching and I'm so nervous! We won't even be home today because of a baby shower 2 hours away! ARGH!

I finally made it through (nearly) all the pages in this thread and I thought I'd introduce myself. Hi! I bred and showed red naked neck bantams a few years ago. Between work and the children, I had to give up my birds for a few years. Now I'm back. I've got Silkies and Showgirls and I'm looking for NN bantams. I do have five feedstore LG NN pullets. I'll post photos tomorrow. Does anyone have contact information for Ed Haworth in Oklahoma? I heard that he was still breeding and showing NN bantams in several colors. If so, please PM me.

Here is an advertisement he he I ordered bantam NN hatching eggs from BYC person Buzzard Barn.

Does Anyone Know How To Get My Hands On Some Showgirl Eggs Here In The Uk?

Brockn40 a guy on eBay was advertising some a few weeks ago....I think he sells fairly frequently, so keep watching.

NewToFarming....love that chick.....

Thanks, Flower, his foot seemed to be no better at all after yet another two weeks of antibiotics and he has a very swollen foot/leg. His general condition has improved, however. He is eating, crowing and chasing the girls. Actually chase is a bit of an exaggeration. He hides behind walls, trees etc. and waits. As soon as the girls pass, he pounces. So he continues his 'stud duties'and remains the same likeable rogue. For some reason he is absolutely tolerated by alpha male, Darky, a Dark Brahma roo who is three times his size and Mort maintains his 'no 2 male slot'.

Strangely, two days after the antibiotics have stopped he seems to be walking somewhat better. He's a tough little beggar.

The first of my La Fleche chicks is showing it's tiny little 'horns', so my NN X La Fleche experiment could still be on.

Is it my impression, or are NN's becoming more popular???? I DO hope so.

I have managed to convert a fair few folk locally, and two people have actually added them to their flocks. Once people have gotten over the shock of the appearance (particularly of the roos!) they generally find themselves liking the breed.
