Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Just thought I'd post a pic of my Naked Neck Lolly. She is one of my best layers of my flock, has not stopped this winter (except during her very quick molt) and she always lays a nice large egg. She is also the largest hen in my flock! Thinking of adding one or two more to my flock this year. Especially if they end up like her

Very pretty hen!

Kev, La Flèche are fully feathered, but are not known for cold tolerance (but have survived -12 here!).

The NNs seem to positively thrive in the cold, though I have been giving lots of food plus a morning huge bowl of chocolate porridge with sunflower seeds.

here's Fofa my NN x australorp she didn't want to show her neck off sigh lol in this picture
but she did in this one lol she's with my Light Brahma rooster and I've set some of her eggs :) hopefully they'll develop :) gonna be some cool chicks

lol I don't but my hubby does.. Nahh I don't like how gloves feel that being said I get scratched up pretty good but I don't mind cause I can feel better without gloves then wearing them... Last time we had to catch a rooster hubby wore them but I didn't and the rooster flogged me pretty good on my thigh and my hands.. but I caught him though hahahahahaa....

Hey gang, New to the BYC. Just wanted show of my Boy... This is Kevin my 1 year old NN Rooster. He by far has the Best personality I have ever seen in a chicken. The whole family just loves watching him run around the yard. I am looking to get more and try hatching them. A friend is going to lend and show me how to use an incubator. Just got into the whole chicken thing a couple years ago and wow.......... Never knew it was this addicting. If anyone knows where I can get some Turken eggs please let me know.
Thanks
