Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Splash Chicks. All Naked Necks. There's 10.

Blue Chicks. 4 Naked Necks and 1 Non Naked Neck.

Black Chicks. 4 Naked Necks and 1 Non Naked Neck.

Red Chicks. Both are Naked Necks.

And these are the 2 chicks that I think are the Blue Laced Reds. The one on the right has faint red stripes on his back (I have another picture) If the one on the right is a BLR then he is a Splash. I put him next to a Splash chick and they look majorily different (Wish I would have took a picture! Dang!)

(Is he a Splash BLR?)

And one more picture!

Enjoy!

Hey gang, New to the BYC. Just wanted show of my Boy... This is Kevin my 1 year old NN Rooster. He by far has the Best personality I have ever seen in a chicken. The whole family just loves watching him run around the yard. I am looking to get more and try hatching them. A friend is going to lend and show me how to use an incubator. Just got into the whole chicken thing a couple years ago and wow.......... Never knew it was this addicting. If anyone knows where I can get some Turken eggs please let me know.
Thanks
He's a very handsome rooster! Welcome to BYC!
Nava sells eggs and I think Lisa (Dipsy Doodle Bird) does also.

Thanks, he is only about 7-8 months in that pic. Here he is about 1 year old. He resembles a Duckwing pattern of some sort? I have a local that wants me to get some Golden Duckwing Marans and put in with him to see what we get. I dont know though.

@ Steven W., I am so excited about getting our chick order!! :ya Those are some beautiful babies! I should've ordered more splash...I was trying to demonstrate sensibility and self control.

@ Naked Neck Kevi, :welcome !! You picked a good thread to get started on. ;) Nava is selling chicks right now and she's got a wonderful variety. She has some beautiful splash birds, check out her auction: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/625719/day-old-chicks It's also who Steven bought his chicks from. You've got a nice looking roo there!

@ homeschoolchick, is that a frizzle? I had a bird whose wings started to come in bent like that but she's not a frizzle. They eventually straightened out. I ask because I see in your siggy you have frizzles.

Thanks for the info and the compliment. He has changed a little as you can see here. This pic was taken this morning when out watering and collecting eggs.

Like in a year I'll be selling Naked Neck eggs. I have those five pullets coming soon and when they are old enough I'm going to put them with Pizza my Naked Neck x Black Copper Maran hybrid rooster :) I do have Fofa she's my Naked Neck x Australorp and the rooster she's with is my Light Brahma but I have to save some of those eggs for a swap.. I have some of those eggs incubating now :) should be interesting to see what those chicks are gonna look like...

Thank you, KKH! They are all precious! I love them to peices! I'm thinking about how I can have them seperated in their own pens by color for breeding since they should start laying around early summer. Maybe some moveable tractors? I'm still looking around for ideas though.

Self Control?? Pshhh! LOL When are you getting your chicks?
One of the splashes just has a couple blue dots here and there.

For anyone thinking of ordering from Nava, I HIGHLY reccomend her and her husband for buying chicks! Very friendly and they sent vigorous and healthy chicks!
