The little guy standing at the bottom of the steps is a golden laced bantam cochin X barred NN...He is so cute with his feathered feet and poofy butt...he doesn't have a tail. I managed to get three NN cochin crosses

here is Naked Neck Buff Cochin Hen with F1 chick...


this blue cockerel was mated back to her mother. and produced 3 chicks.. 1 naked neck buff pullet with bow tie, 1 naked neck blue pullet with bow tie and 1 fully naked neck(no bow tie) cockerel.. pics coming soon...

the are a Back cross(BC1) to Parent(buff naked neck cochin hen) so they are 75% cochin at this stage.. their dad had almost no shank feathers...

Oh, ok..... so if I mate the offspring back...each time I will get more of the cochin characteristics, but won't lose the naked neck?

that´s correct.. you will have 50% chance to obtain Bow Tie naked necks. so if you hatch 10 eggs, chances are you will hatch 5 naked necks and 5 that look like normal cochins....
