Boys get new homes since we have enough roosters right now.

If the hatchery fails to respond very soon, just mention that you will be "rating" their service on BYC, and that may help speed things along. I know many of the hatcheries read the threads for comments and have even at times responded. I have a hatchery issue to follow up on as I haven't gotten the refund yet for the 5 that died due to delayed shipping. It sounds like they shipped sick chicks and that's just wrong.

Yes I agree that posting on Hatchery problems is a very good idea. So far the only one that I have read a response from is Ideal and the problems were not mine. I have used Ideal and they have been good to me. They are a large hatchery and for their size I realize that anyone who does business on the scale could have problems. Ya here Kassaundra !!!

Yes I know about roosters also. I hate the look that the hens have from too much M222222 ugh ! I have separated the LF White Ameraucana cockerel to be with my younger BLRNN. My limited experience with NNs showed me that the males defer to the more aggressive males and just stay in the background. I waiting till my White Am is "mature" before I leave him with the hens for any length of and if he doesn't loose some of that testosterone well he will not reach a ripe old age with me and the NN will take his place if he is more gentle that other roosters. I HATE hens with naked backs and I am trying to keep the flock within budget. (limited) so far .......not to bad with chicken math for me

out of boredom was browsing the 'net in general and happened to see this ebay auction using MY picture posted only here?! was never asked by anyone for permission. what can be done about this auction?

Here's link to the auction:

There is a "report them" button on the ad. I would think that would be one way to start. Perhaps contacting the seller directly would be a course of action as well.

You know.....I saw this on ebay several weeks ago and thought you were the seller because that is the picture you showed me when I was wondering what color my turken was.

yeah that's part of the problem- what if the seller is irresponsible etc and would reflect badly on me while I had absolutely nothing to do with it.

turns out 'picture stealing' is very common on ebay. posts about it on byc. it does bother me a little bit more that the person is actually a byc member.. will be civil, but still, c'mon. use your own pictures for your own auctions. give actual representation, y'know....

I have not even sold or sent anything to this person either so he doesn't even have blood from my birds in his stock.

Do you know what BYC member it is? If you do I would think you could report them here too.
