Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Kassaundra I want to drive to OK just to get some pretty chicks like yours. I just love you flock and your garden.

Thanks.

I agree w/ flower, the lighter skinned NN females change to bright red throughout the day some areas turn bright red then pale then others turn bright red.

Wow, that is interesting you guys, I will be watching for it to be different on different days...this is still just a young baby, about three weeks old, but I just noticed the red yesterday, and it was still there today..I hope I get to use that little "yes" man that flower used when I know for sure! lol.... and oh yes, this is a lighter skinned NN.

High Excitement! Was given a lovely black Araucana cockerel (tufted and tailed) this weekend. As soon as he comes out of quarantine, he will be going with a few of my Naked Neck green-egger girls.
I've never had a tufted bird here and the tufts are huge and SO COOL! I don't know if it will be even possible to get a naked neck with tufts, but I'll give it the ol' Dipsy Doodle try.

Here are some pictures of my white girl...girl ..I think? I hope! And, the other chick is a NN, but Non NN.. lol..she, but may be a he, was hatched a few days later than the white....see the red I was talking about?

Piggy, check out that crop! And check out that big comb on the other one, but, not
real big wattles yet...hmmm

Body shot..she's fluffed up.. My little black bantam birchen cochin baby there..

Better body shot? On both, what do you think? I know there
are some pretty good experts here. :)

Front shot

Stretched out neck shot..lol...she isn't as red on the side here..she must have settled
down from when I first entered the run. Lots of pin feathers coming in.

Just a pretty pose shot.

A good side shot of both..her comb is different than the other ones'.

Fluffed up again, but a good side shot of her body...I don't see any saddle feathers..
The white is 4 weeks and 3 days old, the non NN was hatched a few days later. Pretty
close in age.

Dipsy..a NN with tufts...now that would be something to see. Will be watching for some of those!!
