Today, we had a not very good lunch at a formerly favorite restaurant. We're probably going to cross it off the list. It has really gone downhill, which is sad.

I forgot to update my “daily 3” on Feb 3, and as punishment/consequence/karma I discovered that I’d left my two most promising mango saplings for ~48 hours in the greenhouse instead of carrying them back to the house while it was still sunny & warm.
Neither seemed to be faring very well, so I moved them to a warmer spot and decided maybe I should stop trying to grow tropical trees in Colorado.

I also spent lots of time with the guineas (and discovered four eggs! In their coop by the mirror they peck!)

Lastly, I roasted a 5-lb chicken in my Dutch oven and it was very nice. Had a mango inside and everything (inspiration had been a NYT recipe using two lemons).
