Nasty EVIL gnats!!!!!! Killed my girls!

Oh wow! I never seen anything quite like that!!! That would be horrendous to have a huge black cloud of flies coming at you or your chickens!!!

Ours here look like large black fat gnats. They do bite humans and livestock and leave TERRIBLY large whelps on the skin.
Before they killed my girls I did notice some gnats in their coop but wasn't worried because the hens were eating
them. I thought yea free food die suckers! little did I know they would infest them and suffocate them... sad day.
The swarm happened in 5 hours while we were gone!
Thanks for all the help! I'm waiting till mid summer to get our new chicks, hopefully we won't get another
outbreak in the fall.
