Never heard of it until now....


It's the first friday of June.


Here's some history...stemming from the Salvation Army "Lassies" from WWI.

oh sigh...for i do not live by a donut shop.

The little doughnut shop that used to be up the street (and away from anywhere we go) moved DOWN the street.

They have terrible lattes but fantastic chocolate cake doughnuts with coconut (my favorite).

Fortunately, I'm training for a 5k and that doesn't include eating doughnuts.

I usually get free doughnuts from our local family owned shop. The owner had CHICKENS and I hatch eggs for him. He gives me Free Doughnuts and loaves of the Awesome bread he makes!!!!

We've got a joint that makes awesome coffee drinks...just awesome...not that i need anything to make me any more hyper than i already can be but some times i splurge...i like the caffe mocha's...the iced coffee drinks are nice around now too. mmmmm...

I got a free doughnut from DD today!! They even had a sign out in the drive through!!
