She was looking to see if you had Asian Shovel teeth, people with Native American Hertiage most often(but not always) have Asian Shovel teeth. I got them...
< SEE ....lol. The inside of the upper set of the front teeth are more concave and have kinda like a ridge along the top.
Hey, we might be cousins of sorts.....My grandfather was a Cudd.
ey that's great !! I didn't know what she was looking for. But she said definitely. So maybe the what the old people said was true--Wish they did have some kind of genetic testing . Searching family trees and trying to put together the history and locales of all the different tribes is way too complicated for me. Especially with all the movement at different times of a lot of the groups.
The side of my family that came up from Texas is the Bettie side. My grandfather ( Charlie Mitchell Bettie) married my Grandmother (Jeanette Sue Cudd) . He was Mr. Charlie to everybody and everybody called her ms Nett. I don't know where her people came from ( the cudds) . Maybe some of her people came with his people as a group.. So maybe we are cousins--
If you are a little crazy--maybe we are related!! lol
I think most of the Cudds are related to each other in one way or another....lol. The three orginal brothers came over from Ireland, as stowaways.... early colonial history. I can't remember the exact year....it's been a couple of years since I read up on all of this. However, I know a man that researches all of the Cudd lines....I will pm you his email addy, as soon as I can find it...lol. He should be able to help you.
There are alot of Cudds in Texas, my branch moved here via Yell County Ark. But they were in other states prior to that, the first Cudds settled South Carolinas. I pulled a muscle in my back, so can't dig thru my boxes I have everything stored in.....but I can get my DH to help me, and see what I can find.
BTW, if you are descended from the same Cudd (Joseph Nathan Cudd) I am, who was a son of one of the three orginal brothers......you are descended from queens and kings. He married a women name Mahaila Bishop, and she had quite a pedigree.
Do you know what year or there abouts your granmother was born? There has been alot of work done on the Cudd line, so if you are interested it shouldn't be too hard to track her lineage down.
Yeah, I am alittle crazy...lol...so maybe we are cousins....
Pam
ETA: I remembered it was South Carolina....Spartenburg area.
