You've done fabulous with this hatch!Padfoot's out!I'm so happy! That's 7/8! I'm going to candle the last Cemani egg if there's no progress by tonight then, but SO overjoyed we've had 7/8 hatch already!
Our last eggs get here TODAY instead of tomorrow! So I'll be starting up that hatchalong soon.![]()
HOO boy so I miscounted. I thought we'd had little Padfoot out. We didn't. I noticed the egg was still mid-zip since early this morning. I decided to step in, and glad I did. Poor little Padfoot was upside down! And all contorted to make the zip in the 'right' place but couldn't turn.So after an assist, PADFOOT IS OUT AND HAPPY! And flopping around like a fish in typical new-hatch style.
I swear the sweet baby looked SO relieved when I finally got him out. What an angel! So that's 7/8! I did candle the other Cemani egg, and there was no movement.
But, 7/8 on this second partition of the hatch!

You are doing an excellent job with seeing issues and helping babies out!! You are a star!!Padfoot! Still got a little of the membrane on him but I wanted him to rest and warm up, and I can try to get it off with coconut oil later.I figured better to let him recoup before potentially getting him a little wet to get that off since I don’t to pull at his soft skin.
