So long story short, I rescued a goose egg from some dogs about a year ago, made an incubator, and shockingly it hatched. Now I have an almost one year old goose that I simply don't have room for anymore. I have her in a good size pen with a pool and a house, but we like to let her out to roam the yard. But we have very close neighbors and she's started wandering into their yards.

I'm looking for someone that would be willing to rescue her. I'm looking for someone with other geese, lots of room, hopefully a good area to swim and the "know-how" for caring for geese. This is my baby and it breaks my heart and I won't be able to let her go unless I'm 100% positive she's going to good hands. I'm also almost 100% sure she's a boy, I'm just in the habit of saying she. She's perfectly healthy and loves loves loves her pool. I live right outside of Charlotte NC on the state line and would need someone that could either come get her or meet me somewhere close. Anyone interested can PM and go from there. May have more to post later.

A very pretty little goose...she doesn´t exactly look like she needs saving, lol, but I´m sure someone will be very happy to give 'her' a good home....there are other threads for selling and re-homing, try those too.....

Really? I figured she was a boy because she's gotten a little more aggressive than she used to be with strangers. She isn't quite a year old yet, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe getting a gosling would help. I really really hate to give her up but I don't want her to be lonely. I may have a better location where she could more or less roam free but if she's lonely I think she might still be a little grouchy. Any thoughts on whether its too late to get her a friend? I had a pair of ducks at one point but she hated them so I gave them up but maybe it would be different with another goose around

Are there farms near by with geese? There would have to be, for dogs to have got an egg. Shes certainly not a Canada Goose. What im getting to is maybe the place the egg came from might take her back. If you could find the place

I've tried, they won't take her. They got rid of the geese that were there and said they don't want any more of those "pests" around. Apparently the geese chased one of their kittens so the sold them at auction

I probably could, but being in the country down south she would more than likely be eaten or not taken care of as much as I hate to say it. That's why I was hoping to find someone on here, so I could know she was going to be loved somewhere instead of eaten.

I would have have taken her but yea im not anywhere near you :/
I want your goose to have a proper home .
Kittens! Thats the reason !

If I can't find her a proper home through here I'm going to keep her and get a gosling, just keep them separated by a fence for a while. I did find a better, much bigger and more secluded area where she could roam in safety. I can't stand the thought of her being lonely. I've heard they will pluck their feathers out if they get depressed from being alone too long.
