Ok, thank you. Now I just need to find out about the testing and a truck to rent.

no problem. Should be pretty easy to track down who to contact about testing for your state. Even contacting a local vets office should help get your started.Ok, thank you. Now I just need to find out about the testing and a truck to rent.
Most of the numbers from year to year will vary due to the meets, but average is about 1,200 to 1,400...but some years have been as high as 4,000. I'm still hearing back about some meets, so will continue updating as I find things out. The ad for poultry press will start in August.Just a quick question... how many birds do your shows typically exhibit? I'm wondering how big it will be.
yeah, bring the pullorum -typhoid paperwork with you that you will receive from your NPIP tester, that way you have them on hand if needed. NPIP reps don't announce when they are coming, they just show up, so safe than sorry is my motto when coming from out of state especially
They never announce anything and there have been in the past, but its sporadic, so never know. You don't have to have your certification to show, just need a certified tester to test your birds, and fill out the paperwork and give you a copy. That's all you need for the show.Have they actually shown up in the past? I'm investigating getting certification but I think it may be a long process and I'm not sure it'll be done before November. I know my birds are not sick as I purchased my original stock from an NPIP approved breeding facility and none of my birds have developed this problem. No birds are dropping dead like with the Pullorum-typhoid disease.
