Necks breaking!!

For young chicks like that, I like taking an Exacto knife and cutting little windows into something like a Cool Whip or ice cream container. They can reach in, yet they can't flip the food out much and can't poop in it (put the lid back on before giving it to them). That makes it easy to see the food as you put it in as well.

I feel like I probably should elaborate. If you want to make a little feeder like that, the reason I only use them at first is because you have to cut the holes close to the bottom so that the little chicks can reach the feed, so it doesn't hold very much. After a few days I'll usually go to one of the long chick feeders with the holes on top, even though they do tend to stand on it and poop in. But, I also generally have 20+ chicks at a time and can't refill a feeder 3x a day. If I were smart, I'd make a couple different ones with taller holes, but I never remember, lol.

I'm going to my brothers house for a couple of days, and my grandma will be watching the chicks so I'll give a symptom list of the chicks so I can buy more meds if needed. The sick one is still alive! She has a clogged nostril which I cleaned, I cleaned her eye as well, and put a drop in it but its showed no improvement yet. She feels really weak, and her wings are kind of limp. She's eating and drinking occasionally but seems to prefer staying in the warmth, and she appears to be gasping a bit. She can walk but she sort of... Wobbles. They're all still sneezing and one of my other chicks I noticed was shaking when I picked it up. No eye or nostril problems I can see on the other chicks.

The eye ointment can't ship to my state. Anything else I can use? Tractor Supply is the only store that sells chicken medicine near me, anything I can get from there?
Check TSC online - for anything livestock or pet related. In most cases, if they sell it online, they;ll deliver it to your local store for free. I've been able to get some things for the horses and my cats that way without traveling all over the state to find out who had it "in stock."

That is ingenious! Love that idea...where are u cutting the container on the side or in the lid? Will plan this for my next chicks in the spring ;)

It's perscription only in my state, so TSC won't legally be able to sell it to me :/ I don't think the sick chick will make it through the night, but if she somehow does there's a better feed store near my brothers I'll buy from
