Good job to the OP for realizing your chicken needed better care than you were able to give it. There are a lot of people that never do that.

What a nice story - someone decides to save a chicken but doesn't know much about caring for them and reaches out for help, another kind-hearted person - a stranger - reaches out to help them. Way to go NY peeps! Too bad Capvin had to be a buzzkill and rudely criticize someone for trying to get help. Not much of a motivator for others to seek help on BYC - shame on you. We should support people who don't know about chickens and ask for help, not put them down.
