Lock down is monday for my batch too looks like a few of us are hatching together.
I saw a thread where someone said they used maxi pads so I am going to try that method during lock down to boost up the humidity.
I am trying not to be too overly excited but I am finding it difficult as we grow closer and closer to the 17th which is hatch day .
Locking down on Monday as well!!!! YAY!
Sponges vs. Maxipads???? Anyone used both and prefer one over the other?
Lockdown is tomorrow! Can't wait. I still have 12 moving and grooving
Oh i messed up lock down is Wednesday. I have tried both sponge and maxi pads and liked the maxi pads better. The gel in the pad held the water a lot better and did not dry out as fast. Now I need to figure out how to separate all the eggs in the bator when I lock them down. I am going to see if we have some small pieces of wood to make different compartments for them. This way I can keep them separate after they hatch and then get the like ones in the brooder pen.
going to candle tomorrow I think to see how they are doing.
