Maybe her throat is clogging up. Maybe there is something to clear it up in there. It seems like she has something wrong with her throat for sure. Since she tried eating the crumbles with just a few bites and then nearly choked tells me there is something really wrong in her throat. But what? All these new symptoms just happened so fast..I research but these symptoms match up to multiple things. Could it be gapeworm? Does gapeworm progress overtime? Should I buy Ivermec tomorrow and use it? The vet has no openings and tylan is doing no good. I pray they have an opening come monday.
I used Epernix pour on with my rooster basically same as Ivermec treated him 2X he died, get SafeGuard either liquid or paste and give that to her this is the one , Since your only doing her I'd get the paste. Much easier to give with just one. It will kill gape worms, if you have someone to help you they can hold and you can take a qtip and swab her throart you'll get gape worms if they are there. Make her feed like gruel for now liquid will go down easier. It seems like she has something wrong with her throat for sure. I'm relieved they are working you in, There is always barter maybe you can volunteer to do somethings around their clinic to pay it off, along with fresh duck eggs. just a thought. The vet has emailed me and said to come in first thing this morning and they will squeeze her in. So getting ready soon to load her in the car. I live in country so im 35miles to Peoria. Hope she will be ok for the ride. i dont know what all i can get done since I dont have much money at all and this place dont allow payment plans :-( i cant get approved for care credit neither. I will give a update when I find out things from vet. Thank you so much for giving lots of advice. I love this website.
It's on my med chart says it's for mycloplasmosis and respiratory infections. I have never used it. I'd still mist her with Oxine ah too, can't hurt. If you have room for 2 it may make it easier on her than isolated. Did she show you how to administer the meds?Well vet thinks MG or parasites or just respiratory problem. Pebbles was so afraid in the car ride that i thought she was gonna have a heart attack. We made it home and shes happy back with her friends. She sounded very very congested at the vet office tho, like gurggles in chest. She never sounded like that at home. Must be from being afraid and agravated it? Anyway. She sent me home with doxcycline 150mg twice a day. The fecal test will be in monday or tues and not starting panacur till the results. They said her sinuses look inflamed and eyelids a little red. Also recommended me bringing her inside out of the cold. If i do that then i will have to put a friend inside with her or she will get to stressed. Anybody use doxycyline before
