Need advice on gosling

She traveled well. They were afraid of the rain/windshield wipers (they rode in a box on my lap in the front seat), but otherwise the trip was pretty uneventful. I called to check on her this morning, and it sounds like she is doing well today also. I am hopeful that she will continue to get better from here!

Great news and thanks for letting us know.

I called to check on Lucy again this morning. She only fell over once and couldn't get up yesterday. Plus, she and Lucky spent a good portion of the day outside yesterday! My parents have been taking care of them for me, and it sounds like they've now started following my parents around! As much as they hate to admit it, I think my parents are enjoying taking care of the "Littles" for me!

So happy to hear Lucy and Lucky are enjoying their time with your parents and sounds like Lucy is getting stronger.

I'm back from my vacation! Lucy and Lucky are home safe and sound! Lucy is still somewhat wobbly, unsteady, and a little uncoordinated, but she is SO MUCH better than she was about a week ago. I am still giving her Niacin water, Vi-Tal in their water, and Brewer's Yeast on their food. I am also giving her dandelion greens and any other green weeds I can find (it's been so dry that finding green weeds is harder than it should be this time of year). My parents had a little fenced in area that they let Lucy and Lucky run around in outside during the day. They really enjoyed it. This morning, they were squawking, wanting me to take them outside. I guess I need to find a way to rig a small pen for them to be in until they're big enough to go in with the adult ducks and/or to free range in the yard.

So happy to hear Lucy is doing so much better. Great news!! now keep up with all you are doing till you see full recovery. and as far as making them an area outside where they can have some fun, just make it as safe and secure as you possibly can, There was a poster last week that thought her area for her goslings was secure and left them just for a few minutes, when she came back to check on them they had gotten out and one had been killed, So it is better to be safe than sorry. I know my lil duckling was an escape artist last year.Keep us updated on her progress. I bet your parents will miss them.
