Need advice on moving with my chickens — SoCal to Seattle

How is the horse trailer getting back to California? That is the biggest problem I am seeing with an otherwise good idea.

I suppose you could hire a transport company to bring it back, if you didn't want to do it yourself.

Perhaps one could find a rental company that rents one-way horse trailers.

Not sure those exist....unless uhaul has them.

It would probably only work if you had to make a second trip back to CA or someone from your network of friends/family came here with you and drove it back to CA.

I know there are services that will have someone drive your car cross country for you, one way. I assume they either get a new job driving someone else's car back (someone who needs to go the opposite direction you needed), or get a cheap air ticket back. I would guess you could do something like that with a rented or borrowed trailer. But then the problem is you have to have a truck attached to the trailer! What happens to that truck! Boggles the mind. Haha.

If your gonna go to that much trouble ... just buy the stinking horse trailer! Might as well buy a $60,000.00 Diesel Dually to pull it too!

Gonna be some expensive chickens and eggs!

For a couple of hundred bucks you can get a uhaul trailer ... or just have a dish of chicken an dumplings ... and get new chicks in WA ...

I am in WA and will be trying to offload some chicks the last week of Feb/first week of March! Haha.
