So, we had one chicken who was sick with an upper respiratory illness. She is better now but, another one got it, my Buff Brahma. We have been giving her Tylan-50 (injected) for three days, she seems to be getting better. Now, our frizzle bantam is showing signs of respiratory illness. We gave the Tylan-50 orally because she was so small. Two other chickens of ours are showing symptoms for the illness. I don't know what to do!!! we give them VetRX to help them breathe too.

I think everyone should be given medication at the same time

Clean down their run or coop
And other stuff like water dishes and contaniners. Anything they come into contact wtih.

Continue treatment even if they look well maybe a week or 2

we cleaned the coop out yesterday, scrubbed it down and all. we have separated every one who seemed sick, and given them medication. The rest are seem to be doing very well. It has been very hot recently (90 something degrees) so we have been refilling their waters 3 times a day (we have 19 chickens) and putting ice and electrolytes in them. Hope this works.

Are you also offering plain water? Some birds don't like the smell or taste of the electrolyte water and won't drink.

Yes! we have two drinking things and we only give them the electrolytes once every day, sometimes every other. I refill then two times a day.
