These are GORGEOUS!!!! Would you please share which breeds you have? I have nine chickens (4 different breeds) but only one of the Golden Comets has started laying. I am hoping our eggs will look like your array. I chose the breeds based on the color of eggs. (I am an artist! I couldn't help it!)

Great chart. Thanks for your hard work. I was wondering if the eggs from different hens of the same breed have much variance in shape, size and color. I can see now that they do!

Sure thing! I have ameracaunas, plymouth (barred) rocks, black jersey giants, buff orpingtons, Rhode Island reds, and austrolorps, oh yes, and 2 cuckoo marans. My orpingtons don't lay yet - but it won't be long. I have one light brahma, but I think she is past her prime. She is just so darn hilarious to watch I don't think I have the heart to eat her. Most of mine have names and sit on my lap. They love their Mama and come to greet me like I'm super special. It is a hobby gone mad (DH says).

Thanks for looking!
Amanda

Thanks! We have ameraucanas, golden comets, cherry eggers and cuckoo marans. I think it's just a matter of time before all of them are laying. The cherry eggers are really looking ready, and both of the cuckoo marans are huge! We named ours too. I love them.
